Between traditions, nature, and gastronomy, Alsace offers a wide variety of activities for the whole family during the Easter holidays. If you're staying in one of our spa hotels in Alsace, here are the experiences you shouldn’t miss!

Traditional Easter Egg Hunts

A must during Easter holidays, many egg hunts are organized throughout the region in April. It’s a perfect opportunity for kids to have fun and collect as much chocolate as possible (which they might—or might not—share with you 😄).

Easter and Spring Markets

Each April, Alsace's towns and villages come alive with colorful flowers and Easter decorations for the return of spring and Easter markets.
Colmar, Ribeauvillé, Strasbourg, and many others organize festive markets. Ask local tourist offices for exact dates and locations.

Alsatian Chocolate Shops

Alsace is home to excellent chocolatiers (like Stoffel or Bockel). Taste white, milk, and dark chocolates, as well as pralines in adorable Easter shapes—rabbits and animals you won’t resist!
Some offer workshops where you can learn how to make beautiful and delicious Easter chocolates.

Tasting the "Lamala"

Beyond chocolate, the true Easter star in Alsace is the Lamala (or Lammele), a light and delicious lamb-shaped sponge cake. Don’t miss this traditional Easter treat!

A Spa Session

After a full day, unwind in our wellness areas. Sauna, hammam, jacuzzi—this winning trio awaits you in both our hotels (note: hammam not available at Hôtel Le Ménestrel).

Visiting Flower-Filled Villages and the Alsace Wine Route

Spring is the ideal time to explore the Alsace Wine Route. Vineyards start to bloom, offering postcard-worthy views.
Villages like Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Bergheim, and Kaysersberg come alive again, showcasing colorful half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and storks' nests.
Enjoy wine tastings directly from local winemakers and discover Alsace's wine culture.
And don’t forget: Alsace is full of castles! The three Ribeauvillé castles are accessible via an easy walk, and the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle is a must-visit medieval gem.

Celebrate Easter in Alsace by staying at Hôtel de la Tour or Hôtel Le Ménestrel and experience a magical family escape!
